The items that are marked as 'offer' (being promotion) may come to the top for my part, because you then choose whether you tick it yourself.
Whether or not in a 'widget', it doesn't matter off, that's just aesthetic preference.
Otherwise just chronologically, so the newest first, if there are no 'offers'.
But no combi offers at the top please.

The seller can designate something as an offer which usually concerns a lower sales price.
A combination offer can be regarded as such by the seller, but it does not have to be.
That distinction is not clear at the moment. I find it confusing.
That the 'real' offers get extra attention by being shown first is fine.

Totally agree with Benstrips. Much prefer to always have the 10 most recently created ads at the front, regardless of whether they are single or combination ads.
Whoever visits my shop will first see 10 combi-ads. Only then the 10 most recently added items. Because I don't often create combi ads, you will also see very old ads. Moreover, this "top-10" may remain unchanged for months, until I add new combi-ads...br
Also very confusing that the order of offer on the opening page does suddenly become chronological after clicking through to p2 followed by clicking back to p1 ...
I really don't understand why this focus on combis is necessary. Could this have something to do with higher average amounts and a possible reintroduction of a sales commission?
Anyway, I'm strongly considering removing all my combos from the shop, so that the opening page at the top actually shows the most recent additions.

I also have another comment: if you now do a search at the top of the search bar (not that of the shop, but that of the website in general), you will no longer search in the catalog, but in the ' marketplace'.
Instead of the catalog item (which you could then click on and see who offers it all), you now suddenly see all offered items that contain that search query.
I also find that a lot less useful than before.
I prefer to search the catalog for the item I want first, then see the sellers.
Now you suddenly get to see all items, in all conditions.
So apparently you have changed where people search, instead of the catalog that is the marketplace.
I assume that this was also done on purpose, I just don't know if everyone finds it equally useful and convenient.
But if that was done in consultation, and you personally think that's better, then I can understand that, I just find it a bit more difficult to search, so I prefer to search in the catalogue.
For me it is an extra step, because then I first have to go to the catalogue.

So you always want to have the most recently added items to your shop at the top? You don't automatically have to place future offers with from-for-prices at the top (unless they are just new)?

Does this also apply to providers in categories other than Comics?

For me personally, the promotions should be at the top, because I didn't use this field anyway (I didn't even know it existed).
So in my case the result is just chronological.
I can understand that you want to promote something, and then you want it at the top.
But as long as there are no combi offers at the top, I don't find that useful  (unless they are also promoted with that check mark).
So the most recent first, unless you put something in promotion (offer), by checking the checkmark.

Nice that there are now more reactions, hopefully there will be many more, also from several sections. That gives a more nuanced picture.

No, it has nothing to do with that at all StripwinkelSammy. We had equated offers and combi offers because it is convenient to call them up together with the filter "offer" at the top of the page. Otherwise you should also have a filter "combination offer" there. It should remain that way.

Given the reactions it seems that it is better not to show the combi offers immediately when you view someone's shop. Perhaps the regular offers (which you also saw at the top of the "old shop" by the way).

In a 'widget' or not, it doesn't matter, that's just aesthetic preference.
My approach is not aesthetic, but purely from the point of view of ease of use. You can see a maximum of 6 items at a time on your screen (out of 50 that are shown per page). If 10 offers are also shown at the top, that's a lot of extra scrolling.
A widget only takes up the space of 1 item and is therefore less intrusive.

I didn't mark my combi offers as "offers" (although that option is there), but they will now automatically come to the top. What bothers me most is that as a provider I don't have a choice in this. It's like my landlord decides what goes into my shop window.

Rene Do you mean that there is no imminent return of the sales commission or just that the focus on combis has nothing to do with such a return?

As to the semanic confusion between combi offers and from/ pre-offers: from now on call combi-offers combi-ads or the like and everyone can follow back. The fact that the filter calls up both at the same time does not seem optimal to me in terms of search efficiency.

Collectioneur From-for prices should be at the top as far as I'm concerned. I only have a problem with the forced focus on combis.

I don't have a shop myself so I don't speak out of personal interest. I'm just trying to bring some clarity.
If I sort by recently added as a user/buyer then I just want that, if I sort by title then I just want that. The system doesn't have to decide for me at any time.
If you want to promote combo ads or off-offers, please provide additional selections and filters so that I as a buyer can decide for myself (and limit it to that time also not until 10, if I specifically choose to see from-before-promotions then I want them all) and create a sorting Default.
PS: Can someone tell me where on mobile is that combi-filter. Other issues have already been reported that make mobile not user-friendly.

I meant that last one StripwinkelSammy. We are still thinking about a new revenue model for LastDodo and have not yet made a decision. We find it much more important to further improve the site first: the ordering process, managing collection, maintaining search list, etc.

Clear. Seems like most people didn't object to how it already worked with offers (that you can mark those items as promotions and they'll be at the top) but that simply placing combo offers at the top is generally not appreciated.

The count doesn't seem to be going quite right. When I go to my shop, the quantity of selected items is displayed. If I go to the last page, the amount shoots up. That amount will then be maintained when I go back.

The same applies to me as a lot of others do.
Amazed that suddenly the combination items are at the top. Are simply sales items, which do not come with a price reduction or the like. are on sale.

So I totally agree with:
  • promotional offers at the top by seller's choice: yes
[a one-item high widget does indeed save space on the screen here, I think that's an elegant way to display.]
  • combination offers automatically at the top: hhm, no

Still a buyer's voice. Last try, because for now I'm going on another raid. The way of working that allowed me to search reasonably efficiently / effectively is no longer working.

Clicking on 'more' in a shop under countries/areas apparently gives an overview of everything that is available in all shops (numbers and lines). Clicking through on a line gives either an empty result (that shop has no items from that area), or a poor result (if some are present). Driving blind?

And that only by clicking. To get back to the overview ... 'back' = back calculations for the system, and waiting time as a user. You do that 3 or 4 times, and then you get tired of it.
Opening in a new window is time-saving (and more efficient for the systems). But that is missing (see previous posts about this.

Still a small image.

1. Found a shop, with 32,076 items for sale in stamps

Top 5 countries of the offers within that shop are on the left, with the option 'More' to discover the other countries/territories.

2. 'More' -> then I see that 273 (!!!) items from Vanuatu are offered in that shop? Not plausible, but computers have always been know-it-alls.

3. Right-clicking on Vanuatu and choosing 'open in new tab' (see previous messages) leads to nothing. Back to square one (32,076 items, look for the Vanatu stamps among them!):

4. So I just have to click on Vanuatu in the overview (see 2.). And that produces the following result. There are only 18 for sale ... How many are there actually?
And no box to place my bird (see what I really don't have). So I would have to click item by item to the detail, then click on the ID number, then click on 'Collection' or 'Wish list' and only then be able to see, for one stamp, whether I have it in my can place an order? But how many times do I have to click on 'back' to see the shopping cart again somewhere ...
I have now specially added Vanuatu to my wish list for this purpose ... because searching on 'I don't have in my collection' is not possible. Only on 'Is in my wish list'.
Bit of a lot of work (click work), not for free, but apparently for free.

No, occupational therapy is ok if you choose it. Stupid clicking in itself doesn't scare me off, but it must lead to a result, be useful. I'm not getting any result in my search order process on LD... so...

  1. In connection with the topic 'combination offers' and 'offers' I would also like to see that in both cases this is only added as an option in the menu next to the search bar. Implementing this new function by default on the first page of a seller is very disruptive, confusing and does not seem desirable to me. You can now easily and quickly remove the offers, but the combinations are certainly not always meant as "offers". Rather a business overview of the offer based on date and then with buttons for the user to turn on and off.
  2. In the previous version, a search query in the shop's search bar was also entered directly into the site's search bar. That was very useful but seems to have disappeared now. Can that come back?
  3. The shop's search bar is not really clear. That is difficult to find as a new user. Also the cross (delete) does not always appear in the picture.
  4. Searching on a marketplace for an item results in a jumble within a selective offer. Very unclear and not really functional. You shop from the catalog and then you see what and who offers the item. I would very much like to keep it that way. I don't understand why there should be an extra marketplace anyway. Isn't this something from Catawiki's past? Isn't there already a marketplace?
