Catalogue information
Very rare bottle of BARBARBER wine given at a book presentation in February 1990. The other 143 bottles were poured at the book presentation of the Scheltema bookstore in Amsterdam and then thrown away, with the instruction to the staff that they were not to be given away. (of the opened empty bottles, reportedly only two were saved...) J. Bernlef (1937-2012) Gerard Brands (1934-2012) K. Schippers (1936-2021) - February 1990 - edition of 144 copies - bottle hand numbered no. 123 - signed by the three editors - label design: G. Brands (portraits of the three gentlemen above bunches of grapes) AC Côtes du Ventoux, Domaine La Reynarde, 1988, 75cl., 12% vol. The bottle is full and unopened. Unopened bottles were reserved only for the three editors and the Literature Museum (some full copies were given away to intimates). The theme issue is in good condition: the Brands signature and the bottle number are somewhat faded. (The wine is no longer drinkable...)
