Originally issued as 9 P. in 1859,
reminders were used in the Mauritius
as 1 P.-stamps from 1862 on.
Such stamps are always cancelled
with the B 53 barred cancel.
However this cancel can also be on
stamps used as 9 P.
As prices are more or less equal,
it does not matter too much.
