Amerika maakte in 1976 voor het eerst kennis met Suske en Wiske. In dat jaar begon de uitgeverij Hiddigeigei Books met een reeks albums onder de titel "Willy and Wanda". In twee jaar tijd werden 8 albums uitgegeven.
