Details
This unfolded "booklet" has numerous differences compared to a genuine one. The deep red shiny cover did not use the correct fonts for the inscriptions, especially noticeable in the bold contents line, 12 x 1ST. There is no right hand margin or notch in the top right corner. The Barcode (5 014721 112282) is a different size. The backing paper shows reversed ROYAL MAIL text. The stamps have an orange-red shade and no year or source codes. Alternate lines in the “iridescent” text show "ROYAL MAIL" as both normal and reversed instead of normal and inverted. The stamps also have two very narrow (3mm) “phosphor” bars and distinctive square cut perforations. Varnish has been applied to simulate the two 3 mm phosphor bars and have no afterglow after UV exposure. Under UV light the Queen's head and stamp outline appear very white.
