During August 1996 some books were found without the defacing bars across the stamp illustrations. All other features (contents text centred and no printer’s initial) were identical to the original Type 7(10) books. Seems that Walsall made a small print run using the same plate for the diagonal block of 1st Class stamps as that used for the Queen’s Birthday book (Bookmark DB23(3)), probably by mistake
