This flyer describes that as of autumn 1939 nearly 40,000 copies of the book "Ships" were sold. All this for the benefit of the Amstleven Rescue Boat Fund. In May 1941, the motor beach lifeboat Johan de Witt in Alkmaar and the accompanying crawler wagon in Katwijk could be built with the proceeds. In deze flyer wordt beschreven dat vanaf herfst 1939 bijna veertigduizend exemplaren van het boek "Schepen " werden verkocht. Dit alles ten behoeve van het Amstleven-Reddingsbootfonds.
In mei 1941 konden van de opbrengst de motor-strandreddingsboot Johan de Witt in Alkmaar en de bijbehorende rupsbandwagen in Katwijk gebouwd worden. Dit laatste beschreven op de achterkant van een ansichtkaart van Amstleven. ( ook opgenomen in de catalogus)
