Universal publisher was the only legal publisher in Iran which published Tintin albums. Late Martik Boghosian was the manager of the Universal and he got Mr. Samiee to translate the whole Tintin Albums. The black Island and Destination Moon were published in 1971. Since Mr. Samiee was a close friend of Mr.Firooz Shirvanloo (the manager of Kanoon at that time) Kanoon bought 500 the black Island albums) and Mr. Boghosian managed to start his new business. He could publish 11 other albums before the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Unfortunately Boghosian's left Iran after the revolution and immigrated to Canada. Now after 38 years a Tintin fans group found Mr. Samiee and got him to translate the left ten Tintin albums and other works of Herge. Mr. Samiee has translated "Land of Black Gold" and "The Rea Sea Sharks" as well as Quick & Flupke in 12 albums. Now mentioned albums are available in limited numbers (only 100 of which).Some of the books marked autographs of the translator Mr. Samiee.
