Gentle Giant Ltd announced and opened the pre-order for their Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot Jumbo Kenner action figure on April 21, 2014. The faithful 1/6 scale recreation of the 3 3/4-inch action figure released in the classic Kenner line in 1982 was first publicly displayed in their booth at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con.
