"In the winter of 1996, I went home to visit my parents, and not having played the piano since highschool, recorded this piece in their living room. I set for a rule that I would have to get each note right before moving on to the next, and sitting at the piano, I opened up the book of Two Part Inventions to a piece which I had never attempted, turned on a tape recorder, and proceeded to play."
