Portrait bust to the right of Bartholomeus Spranger (1546-1611). He wears a chain around his neck. In 1575 Bartholomeus Spranger was appointed court painter to Emperor Maximilian II in Vienna, and in 1581 he entered the service of the art-loving Emperor Rudolf II in Prague. Etching and engraving by Carlo Gregori (1719-1759), after a drawing by Giovanni Domenico Ferretti (1692-1768). Signed in print. Numbered at the bottom 46. Made around 1750.
