Portrait bust to the left of the Flemish Baroque painter Jan Cossiers (1600-1671). Cossiers worked in Antwerp. In 1628 he became a member of the Guild of Saint Luke, of which he was dean from 1639-1641. Cossiers later specialized in historical and religious scenes. His style was influenced by, among others, Peter Paul Rubens. Cossiers collaborated with Rubens on major projects. Below the image four lines of text in French. Portretbuste naar links van de Vlaamse barokschilder Jan Cossiers (1600-1671). Cossiers was werkzaam in Antwerpen. In 1628 werd hij lid van de Sint-Lucasgilde, waarvan hij van 1639-1641 deken was.
