Details
The first Boots store, a herbalist shop in Nottingham, began trading in the mid 19th century. The family business was taken over, in the late 1870s, by Jesse Boot, who developed it into a nationwide retail chain. By the 1930s there were over 1.000 Boots The Chemists stores, supported by major manufacturing facilities and distribution networks. Now an international company, Boots head offices and factories remain in Nottingham, where the business began 150 years ago. This special Limited Edition set has been carefully researched with the assistance of The Boots Company archives department. Featuring a Bedford ‘S’ Type Tanker and a Leyland Comet Dropside, these models have been produced in the standard dark green livery of the 1950s and 1960s. The more familiar blue and white livery that we all know today did not come into effect until the 1970s. Contains: VA 7010 The Bedford S-Type Tanker; VA 29001 The Leyland Comet Dropside. Limited Edition 3.000 pcs. (with certificate)
