Original drawing on paper in pen and ink, around 1964, possibly published in the Saturday Evening Post or the New York Times, of Hilgard Muller, Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Africa between 1964 and 1967. Drawing on white paper is pasted onto a larger piece of paper which has a stamped New York address on verso and a date stamp ‘Aug 12 1981'. Kroll, who left Germany in 1933 when the Nazis came to power, became a ‘celebrity caricaturist’ in the USA who drew caricatures of thousands of public figures in America and around the world. Paper size 16 x 10 cm (6 x 4 inch), image size 12 x 7 cm, signed lower right. In good condition.
