Lithograph depicting a portrait of poet and engraver Maria Tesselschade Roemers Visscher (1594-1649). She was the daughter of Roemer Visscher. On 1 November 1623 she registered in Amsterdam with Allart Janz. Crombalch, from Alkmaar. After she also survived all three daughters, she returned to Amsterdam. She was part of the literary circle around P.C. Hooft in the Muiderslot, which was called the Muiderkring in the nineteenth century. Her best-known work is Onderscheyt between a wild and a tame singer. Lithograph, published in The Hague by Soetens et Fils, c. 1840.
