Original drawing on paper in pen and ink, around 1965, possibly published in the Saturday Evening Post or the New York Times, of Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait 1965-77. Drawing on white paper is pasted onto a larger piece of paper which has a stamped New York address on verso. Kroll, who left Germany in 1933 when the Nazis came to power, became a ‘celebrity caricaturist’ in the USA who drew caricatures of thousands of public figures in America and around the world. ‘Duplicate’ written in ink in lower right border. Paper size 15 x 10 cm (6 x 4 inch), image size 11 x 6.5 cm, signed lower right. In good condition.
