Original drawing on paper in pen and ink, 1960, possibly published in the Saturday Evening Post or the New York Times, of Che Guevara. Drawing on white paper is pasted onto a larger piece of paper which states on verso: ‘Kroll Karicature Service, Ernesto Guevara, President of the National Bank of Cuba, Man to Watch’, and a stamped New York address. Kroll, who left Germany in 1933 when the Nazis came to power, became a ‘celebrity caricaturist’ in the USA who drew caricatures of thousands of public figures in America and around the world. Paper size 15 x 10 cm (6 x 4 inch), image size 7 x 6 cm, signed lower left. In good condition.
