Portrait bust to the right of Isabella Brant (1591-1626). Brant was the daughter of an important city clerk of Antwerp. The marriage between Peter Paul Rubens and Isabella Brant took place in 1609 in the church of St. Michael's Abbey. She bore him 3 children: Clara, Nikolaas and Albert. She died of the plague on July 15, 1626 at the age of 34. Etching and engraving by Jean Baptiste Michel (1748-1804), after the painting by Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640).
