Portrait bust within oval of August II of Poland (1670-1733). To the oval the title in Latin. At the bottom two crowned coats of arms. August was Frederick August I Elector of Saxony (from 1694 to 1733) and as August II the Strong, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania (from 1697 to 1704 and from 1709 to 1733). He lived a life with countless mistresses with whom he fathered countless children. August was also a lover of theater, ballet and opera and one of the first to collect paintings in a systematic way.
