Portrait of Count Robrecht I de Fries (ca. 1029/32 - 1093). He was the second son of Count Baldwin V of Flanders and Adela of France. He was count of Flanders from 1071 until his death and regent of Holland from 1061 to 1070 on behalf of the minor Dirk V. He wears a cloak and hat with a feather. His right hand rests on his sword. He wears his coat of arms on his left shoulder. At the bottom of the engraving a 12-line poem in Dutch. Copper engraving, maker unknown.
