Original editorial cartoon drawing in pen and ink/craftint on card from Ficklen’s ‘Keypeek’ series, 1969, drawn for "The Ledger Syndicate", shows ‘Mao’s thoughts’ on Russian bombing of Chinese territory at the climax of the Sino-Soviet border conflict in March 1969, or ‘borderline bombing’. Card size 27.5 x 16.5 cm (11 x 6.5 inch), image size 20 x 14 cm. Signed bottom right, in very good condition.
