Original editorial cartoon, ink and crayon on board, 1950, shows a large spiked boot bearing the words "The Overwhelming Odds Against Us In Korea" about to step on a soldier. This could refer to the fighting in S. Korea in August-September where American troops were pushed back to Pusan by N. Korean troops, or to fighting in October-November in which US/UN troops were driven out of N. Korea by large numbers of Chinese troops - in both cases US/UN troops were heavily outnumbered by the opposing side. Titled in top margin in blue crayon and signed bottom left. Someone has written $3.00 in red ink at bottom right. Paper size 44 x 37 cm (17 x 14 inch), image size 40 x 31 cm. Very good condition.
