Portrait of Archduke Ernst of Austria (1553-1595). Twice he tried in vain to become king of Poland. He distinguished himself in the Turkish Wars and in 1593 Philip II appointed him governor of the Southern Netherlands. At the bottom the engraving is signed "Lc fc Rb2".
