The first edition of this classic was published in 1903 by school book publisher JB Wolters. This series of books was taken over by P. Kluitman in 1906 and provided with a new binding with the name Kluitman on it instead of Wolters, also with a different color scheme. A second edition was published by Kluitman in 1907. Only then did it become a well-known book.
