Burhaneddin Þener's Burhan Yayýnevi (Burhan Publication House) is notable for producing several Turkish-made b&w Tintin adventures, alongside b&w traced editions of original stories. Burhan Yayýnevi began publishing its weekly unlicensed Tenten comics in 1961. When the run of original stories was depleted, the publishers apparently ordered the production of new stories! The first one, 'Istanbulda' (In Istanbul), is a 'collage' (!) of traced editions of various Herge stories edited into a new story-line. The rest appear to be indinigous though some seem to incorporate material traced from non-Tintin comics. The autorship and art of these Turkish-made adventures is unknown.
