Released on Decca in 1963 on the 'Ace Of Hearts' label (AOH was for re-issuing American artists and the 'Ace Of Clubs' division was for British). It's a nice little compilation of early washboard hot jazz, featuring the familiar clickety-clack of Jimmy Bertrand's washboard. 'Johnny Dodds' features on clarinet on track 1 and 'Louis Armstrong' belts out his cornet on track 6. The Alabama Washboard Band are another incarnation of the 'Washboard Rhythm Kings' with all the maniacal kazoo solos you would expect!!
