Box (225x132x82mm) is a replica. Made of cardboard pasted with scans of the dark green paper and the illustration of the Chinaman-with-the straw hat on the loose lid. The scans show stripes due to the printing process. The total look is however quite acceptable. The cardboard drawers are original and in good order. There are four for the tiles and one, with four compartments, for the counters etc. See sticker on inside of the flap. Tiles (22x30x12mm) are made of wood. The top and bottom are lacquered. They have been printed monochrome in red, green and blue. With the characteristic Piroxloid Bamboo 1, letters on the Dragons and flower tiles. There belong no spare tiles to the set. One of the Bamboo 9 was missing and has been replaced. Counters are thin strips of shiny celluloid in in dark green, light blue, dark yellow and maroon. Colors and length indicate their value. Dice (2x) are rather big and have been made of French Ivory celluloid Western points. Wind indicators are made of white synthetic material. There container is made of thin celluloid with French Ivory pattern.. Instruction manual is missing. There is however the sticker with an explanation of the value of the counters.
