Details
"The Broadspeed Mini was one of the fastest Minis in the world in the 1960's, owing in part to the fastback conversion designed by Ralph Broad, of Broadspeed in the UK. Four Broadspeed Minis were built in Australia by Brian Foley Motors, with this one being raced in 1967 by top Mini driver Laurie Stewart. One of its best results was the Bathurst Easter meeting that year, when it finished third outright ahead of much larger capacity cars. The car raced in Sports Closed Category, against an array of Marque and GT Sports cars and was partly responsible for the dawn of Sports Sedan racing in Australia. It was also driven by Brian Foley on at least two occasions but remarkably only completed one full season before being retired."
