The 300E vans enjoyed great popularity amongst a variety of users ranging from the self employed tradesman to large fleet operators. In total over 195.000 were produced by Ford. The 300E was the first of the smaller Ford vehicles to feature the word ‘Thames’ on the bonnet. The front wing styling lines were continued through to the rear of the van bodywork which incorporated the neatly flared wheel arches of the passenger car. The resulting effect was of a modern looking light commercial vehicle.
