Details
Corgi really made a lot of these Buick Regals, there's the regular US Police Car (this one), then there's a 'Superman' version that looks very similar - same color etc. - but (among other things) has a big bonnet sticker ("City of Metropolis Police Dept.") , two rows of roof-lights, and a white roof (catalogue number 260), and then there's Kojak's brown metallic version, that has been re-issued a number of times (original catalogue number for that one was 290) From various research on the internet it seems, that the version presented here (#416) is by far the most rare: A mint specimen, but with a box that's falling apart is auctioned of for €70.00, while a 'reasonable-to-good' sample (like the one pictured here) with missing lights, missing police figure, missing box, and some paint marks sells for around €26.00. Finally one note: This model and Corgi's other models from this time period are scale 1/36, not 1/35, but there's no option to choose 1/36, so 1/35 is the closest available.
