Martin Veltman (born 1928) published an untitled plaque of free verse in 1953 and the collection Amen is Amen in 1956. In the 1950s he was editor of the periodicals Amsterdams Tijdschrift voor Letterkunde and Cartons voor Letterkunde. In 1962 he went 'into business' and has not published since. It was not until December 1979 that he returned with new poems in De Gids, in October 1980 in Avenue Literair and again in De Gids in November 1980.
