MG is probably one of the most famous names in British Motoring history. The initials MG stand for Morris Garages, who were the Oxford agent for Morris cars. In 1924, the ‘MG Special Sports’ was introduced and the famous octagonal badging was on display for the first time. 1930-35 was the period when MG firmly established its self as producers of fine sports cars, a reputation it still holds today, 80 years after MG was established.
