The Saturn was the successor of the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. It is a 32 bits CD Rom based system of the fifth generation. The Saturn was moderately successful, but was outsold by the Nintendo N64 (33 million units) and the Playstation (over 100 million units). Production was discontinued in 1998.
