discovered that the item http: // www.catawiki.nl/catalogus/boeken/boekenreken/gulden-reken-van-het-davidsfonds/2817679-de-bruggenbouwer

is not from 1951, because I have the first issue in my property and just to name a few differences:

no colored cover

and 332 pages

what should be done if someone provides false information ?????

If you are sure that the book is not a first edition but a reprint, you can simply adjust the data in the catalog and preferably add the first edition in your possession to the catalog

@lordernie

if the book you own is markedly different from yours then you should stage your book and adjust the book already in CW where necessary...

That's the beauty of a ..wiki site.

Okay, will take a few pictures first (is too hot to do anything else tomorrow anyway) and then adjust

@lordernie: It's annoying when data is entered incorrectly, but it happens to most people from time to time. Also your description of the item "Solfège" was not really adequate (including no first edition).

If you offer an item for sale, you must fill in n.m.m. a little more careful than usual. As a seller you want to avoid the appearance of deception.

Sorry,

but have not found an earlier edition anywhere and therefore mentioned the first edition.

That method is not flawless. With old books (especially from the 19th century) you can see if the author is in the Wikipedia. Often you will also find a bibliography.

Similarly in this case:

In the French Wiki, Adolphe Danhauser says:

  • Solfège des solfèges , Paris, H. Lemoine, 3 volumes, 1881-1907.

This was also mentioned:

Note : Les ouvrages de Danhauser ont été réimprimés des dizaines de fois, traduits, et revus.

Continue:

- This book is primarily a study book and not a book to collect. That is why it is not so important whether it is a first edition, because the first edition is not really valuable.

- I find the images very poor in quality. are they phone photos? You better do a good scan. That looks a bit nicer.

@lordernie,

I think she meant that you create a new item I CW, not adapt an existing item to your book.

At the existing item you should only adjust the pressure.

no phone photos, but from digital camera.

I can't scan on this computer, maybe next time I will scan on my other computer, then email to this one and then publish, but that's a lot work :(

Actually has to photograph a hundred comics, but don't find the time
