Who has tips and / or tricks for cleaning your records? I have some records that I can't get the dirt off with a dust cloth. Is there a possibility to wash those stains off with a special agent?

Thank you for the quick answer! I once googled that device and according to the experts it is indeed the best device to repair / restore / clean your records.

However, that device is also very expensive and not easily available.

Is there an easier and perhaps cheaper way to clean my records?

I did find a nice car wash for records .

you shouldn't buy it yourself, but find out which case has it and take your records there ... is not affordable for a private person ...

That is nice indeed for very damaged or very difficult to clean plates. But isn't there really an easy cleaner or trick to clean records?

I have been using an alcohol-based product for years ... the same as that used to clean the windows (B) / windows (NL) ...

Moisten a soft (!) Cloth and clean the plate gently (in the groove direction) until there is no moisture and dirt left on the plate.

Make sure the label does not get damp!

After cleaning, always take a new inner cover and use a plastic outer cover to protect the cover.

What I have more problems with is removing stickers from the cover ... does anyone have a solution for that?

Grtz,

Kilroy

So that is also my concern.

I am now working on entering a number of singles here in CW and I see, especially with the singles from +/- 1960-1965 that there are three stickers of 1cm2 stuck on one side.

Must have had a special reason once, but they are in my way.

Removing stickers is very easy with a little lettuce / olive or lamp oil.

Please note that the cover DOES have to be laminated.

Also on doors, windows, mirrors, plastic in short on any non-absorbent surface.
