I see that the new Person field has been added! When should this field be filled in? Only with the character cards or eg with all Star Trek / LotR cards etc. that have someone on it?

With all cards with a person on it.

The reason for this field is mainly the persons register to be created, which we want to use for the entire catalog.
This is then turned into a theme section, and people are often attached to a kind of wikipedia pages.

You have to see this completely separate from the type of trading card.

Thank you, Arwin!

When I have time, I'll start with the Star Trek cards. I know most of the actors.

Very beautiful.

I don't have the time to add it to all cards myself, so if people want to enter this info with cards, I am very happy with that.

Sometimes I indicate "Unknown" to persons. I only do this if the name of that person cannot be traced through Wikipedia's, movie sites, fan sites, etc.

That way, people who might know that person can identify the right people.

If you have another idea for that, let me know and I will adjust it.

I am 100% sure of the names I put with the persons and the spelling has already been checked.

Well, that's not usually supposed to be.
You can always search in the menu for "not filled in"
If we place unknown at some of the maps, we will use 2 systems interchangeably, so you have to search twice to see everything.

On the other hand, you will of course be left with cards that show several people, and where you know some and some you don't.
If you go through all the cards of that series like this, I don't think it will hurt if you use "unknown".

So only use "unknown" if there are several people on a card, of which at least 1 is known?

As long as you only do it with those star pull cards, I can use "unknown" everywhere I just wonder, to what extent are the actors you don't know known to others.
You enter a lot of names, also of lesser known actors.
Then I wonder whether those other names can still be traced.

The tricky part is, if you stop halfway through, some part will have unknown and another part will not be filled in.

The names of the actors that I don't know myself come mainly from the Star Trek Wikipedia (Memory Alpha). The actors with nothing in it are indeed very difficult to trace, because they are usually extras, but fanatic signature collectors know who they are.

I promise I'll finish Star Trek CCG. You don't have to worry about that.

Very beautiful.

I briefly changed "unknown" to "unknown" and set the translations in English, German and French in the admin area, for the different language versions of Catawiki.

With the trading cards we do have the rule that it should be in the language of the card itself as much as possible, but this kind of thing goes over the various series and languages.
