What exactly are the differences between 38023 and 26943 ?

The descriptions do not provide clarity, for both items is namely 200. The color differences are very dependent on the scanner and software used and therefore do not provide clarity.

Are there actually 2 versions?

The back of that one is very ugly in terms of color, but whether you can clearly see the difference only becomes apparent when you physically see 2 copies next to each other, I think.

Since Bonte already had these 2 versions in his catalog, is it apparently more widely known that these really are 2 different editions?

If you look at the cover of 38023 you will see that the houses (top left) are not colored.

At 26943 yes.

The color differences of, for example, the road, and especially the falling policeman, cannot be caused by the scanner used in my opinion.
Those are really different colors.

Bedankt, met een beetje scherp kijken kun je inderdaad zien dat er geen inkleuring is bij 38023.

Jammer dat niemand van de aanbieders/verzamelaars even een goede scan maakt.

Thanks, with a little sharp looking you can indeed see that there is no colorization at 38023 .

It is a pity that none of the suppliers/collectors made a good scan.

There are actually 2 versions of the Emperor Cracker. The difference, as Arwin also noted, is in the elaboration of the background.

In the first rough version, both the houses on the left and the houses on the right (above the M.E. Bus) are not worked out / or colored.

In addition, the police officers are colored blue and Sidonia is also in a predominantly blue outfit on the ME bus.

Unfortunately I have the 2nd version and therefore cannot import the covers of the first version.
