Jummeke, in the France catalog there is a sheet including a strip with the same stamps under LDD number 7673399. The strip is also listed separately under the same catalog number, do I understand correctly that if I have similar strips separated from similar French sheets, I can enter them under the same number as the sheet and do I then have to make a separate scan of the strip? I don't want to do something wrong again. Eerebear

EreBeer I can already feel trouble coming. Choices are not always black and white. Depending on the interpretation, someone will respond here.
The individual stamps are of course possible, as well as the series of 5 individual stamps and the full sheet.
If you consider #7673399 as a torn sheet then it has to be removed, but the 5 stamps (without borders) are the largest se-tenant, and #5215645 is the largest se-tenant of the top. But no discussion, #6275007 is an incomplete se-tenant and must be removed.

Jummeke I already see I can send scans as attachments. Is it OK if I do that a little later tonight?

Jummeke It took a while, but here are the scans of the first of the 5 similar blocks that La Poste has published, this ?series of blocks? is called: Le siècle au fil du timbre. The first two in 2000, the second two in 2001 and another in 2002. In the Yvert they are listed as F29, F32, F35, F39 and F47. In the upper part of the first block there is indeed a se-tenant of two stamps, the Yvert 3312 above the Yvert 3315. The lower part of the entire block is actually a se-tenant of the five stamps in a strip that is attached to the minus or more square block but can be torn loose via the slits. The blocks of the other four no longer contain two se-tenant stamps. In some cases I have the complete sheet, block + strip and in some cases also loose strips of the various blocks.
As a relative beginner on LDD with a few mistakes to my name, I would like to know if and how I can, may or should enter this in the catalog.

EreBeer From your explanation I understand that they look a bit like the previous example you gave, because I don't see the pictures.
The pure theory from the manual: Each stamp separately + the series + the largest possible se-tenant (in the previous example the upper se-tenant was vertical and the lower se-tenant horizontal, if it were torn out it would be unrecognizably identical then only 1 times) + complete block/sheet (here LD sometimes deviates from another catalogue: all different stamps = block, at least 1 identical stamp = sheet, I assume without seeing them that you will have to enter them as a sheet). We do not lump everything together as "series of blocks" or "series of sheets".
You should not feel insecure when entering, if you have any doubts you can contact the forum or the administrator of France fpvanhoutte (see Options button if you select France in the catalog). We only intervene if someone makes dozens of corrections without reading the manuals and threatens to damage the catalog.
And always search carefully before you add, I already see quite a few (filter Postage Stamps - France - Sheet - 2000-2002). By clicking on the Issue link in an item each time, you will see even more.

The issue, in terms of the main issue, consists of 5 different separate stamps. That's 5 items.
They were issued in a sheet (see definition in the stamp manual, sheet vs block) in which the stamps appear twice. The sheet is also an item in the catalogue.
2 different maximum se-tenants can be torn from the sheet. One with 2 stamps underneath each other, and one with 5 different ones next to each other. That's 2 items in the catalog.
The exceptionally permitted additional item (the series) may only be combined with the item of the maximum se-tenant. After all, it also contains all stamps of the series.
So #7673399 is in overlap with #691527 : a 'DOUBLURE of'.
The se-tenant image may be added to the series item. This will then also receive the additional type 'se-tenant'. An administrator can then swap the images: se-tenant image first, and the image with the loose stamps second.
This is how it should be done according to the manual, there is no way to get in the way. Even though a super administrator and a general administrator have already reviewed item 7673399 (a human error due to the pressure and complexity).

It proves that you are allowed to make mistakes, EreBeer . Whether you are a new or experienced user or an administrator. As Jummeke already pointed out.
We continue to learn from it, and it ensures that we only get better. And even if you become an expert, mistakes cannot be ruled out.

Tip to show images to others via the forum : open the image in Paint (everyone has it on a Windows PC), select the image (or part of it), copy that selection with copy/paste (copy/paste, Ctrl+C /Ctrl+V) in the forum post.
Tip for referring to an item from the catalog : put the LD ID (unique number of an item) in the forum message with a # in front of it. When posting the message, that combination is automatically converted into a (direct) link to that item.

Referencing an overview (more than one item at a time) is a bit more complicated. Then you must transfer the URL (address of the website with that overview) via Cut/paste. Then select a piece of text in your message and use the 'link' icon to fill in the resulting input box.

@Jummeke and Raoul62 sorry I think it depends on my age and the "Alzheimer Light" from which I think I suffer. I just forgot to add the scans, so here it is.

EreBeer That is indeed #272983 and the accompanying Issue that we already talked about in previous posts. So the explanation remains the same.
