NL: ** Postfris ; * Ongebruikt ; o Gestempeld
EN: ** Mint condition / Unmounted ; * Unused ; o Used / Cancelled

Translate to EnglishWhen putting items up for sale, you can now only specify condition.
For example for stamps:
EN: ** MNH ; * Unused ; o Stamped
EN: ** Mint condition / Unmounted ; * Unused ; o Used / Canceled
Once again for stamps, there are a number of reasons to make a greater distinction when putting them up for sale (with an effect on pricing and a serious impact on the usability of the statistics).
- stamped can be genuine walked or CTO
- stamping I see, for example, regular cancellation, first day cancellation, wave stamp, stamp with full stamp on fragment ... (without being exhaustive)
- unused can be with or without gum
- stamp can be offered separately (in any condition), in pairs or in blocks of four stamps...
- 'seal with tab' can be offered (in any condition) with or without a tab
Each time it concerns a completely different price and value... with of course a serious effect on the usability of the statistics.
One can also talk about books in a similar way
- a signed book
- book with or without (loose) cover
Others will certainly be able to supplement this for their own collection domain.
The question therefore arises as to whether an underlying optional sub-condition can be provided on top of the current condition upon sale (default = blank or not specified). In the shops it would be best to show that sub-condition next to the condition (next to or under condition). And then one could build in the option for potential buyers to select for that extra sub-condition.
It may take a little more work to put items up for sale. However, a seller does not have to adapt his entire shop. And a buyer can (depending on his requirements) search more specifically in the shops that pay attention to his requirements. Finally, LD will eventually have the option to show a broken down statistic with the registered sub-conditions.
Does this have a chance? Can this be added to the wish list?

Translate to EnglishThanks for the suggestion.
As an experienced user it may be difficult to empathize with new users, but we often receive feedback from new users that the site is (too) complex.
An important goal for us is to make the site easier to use.
Adding a subcondition does not seem to contribute to this.
It not only creates extra complexity when including something in your collection and shop, but also when filtering by condition in many places (then you need to be able to filter in layers), when displaying catalog values, etc.
It remains a balance between the wishes of experienced users and keeping it simple for new users so that they do not immediately drop out because things are unclear. However, your proposal seems to me to increase the complexity too much without offering major benefits for many users.

Stamps now have 3 conditions. This section should actually have the most conditions, because stamps also have the most conditions.

Translate to EnglishThe idea of the optional subconditions is precisely aimed at new ones so that they can use the site as they do today. Only if they are a little experienced will they have an extra trump card for further selection. So it's really meant to be optional...

Show original messageoptional sub-condition are very important for stamps if you don’t want as seller waisting you time and sellers time asking thousands of questions to sellers.
A second reason is that seller pricing tend to go forward 0,01 € just because some offer stamps that are damaged or just are push to be even for not so common stamps that should be sold 0,10 € at premium quality.
I don’t know if LD top chiefRene want or can find resources to do that but as a past top manager in marketing I can just tell to LD team that it can cause financial threats as
1) why to rent a shop if you cannot sell good stamps more than 0,01 or 0,02 € stamps that you easily sell for 0,10 € as premium ?
2) Buyers will loose confidence in what to buy in shops as most even for 10 € price doesn’t offer photos so you can imagine for 0,10 € stamps and if we need to waste time of professionals sellers , that actually in difficult economic conditions, and pay the more money to contribute to LD they will cut their costs on LD
3) adding a quick easy thick box about conditions will make easier not to add photos as it is very quick even quicker than to do a description and good stamps will generate more revenue to VIP and bigger levels to pay a fix prices as the rent is not cheap so cost cut will occur perhaps from sellers in the future like a power sellers downgrading to cheaper option and VIP
No needs to waste our time collaborating more in deeper on this matter to define more if the LD team doesn’t want to accept to talk with us about if they want or not to do it or at least consider to do it.
It will be my last post on this thread withoutRene telling us if it is good to make proposals about sub conditions or not nothing will be done in 2024 as I got no time to waste anymore about that.
Don’t waste your timejogo if it is for a negative response from Rene
Nothing to read from myself against LD or @Rene as I know that sometimes it is not possible as a site have not enough money or other top priority like technical issues day to day that are so Important and cannot implement what we whish.
