Er is al vaker over Thema's gesproken, dat dit eigenlijk LD overkoepelend moet zijn, maar vooral gestructureerd.
Een overkoepelend themaregister zal er, net als bijvoorbeeld een Landen en Personenregister, ooit wel eens komen, maar niet op korte termijn.
Het enige wat wij zelf als gebruiker/beheerder eventueel kunnen doen is om een structuur te bedenken voor Thema en dat proberen op te bouwen. Vooral het denkwerk / discussiëren hierover zal echter zeer veel tijd en energie kosten, mede ook doordat er ongetwijfeld verschillende ideeën hierover zullen leven.
Misschien zijn er goede bruikbare voorbeelden, die we kunnen kopiëren of als model kunnen gebruiken.
Zijn er mensen die dit een dusdanig aantrekkelijk onderwerp vinden dat ze hier energie en vooral tijd in willen/durven steken?

Waar ik van mening ben dat in een serie met vuurtorens "Vuurtoren" het thema is,
worden er vaak meerdere thema`s ingevuld.
Dan krijg je b.v. onder thema te staan: Gebouwen, Torens, Vuurtorens.
Maar soms staan er ook wel heel veel thema`s bij 1 munt:
Australië, Bomen, Ecologie, Golven, Handen, Kettingen, Kronen, Milieubescherming, Oorbellen
Het gaat hier om een munt van Landscape Australia, een milieubeschermingsorganisatie.
Milieubescherming of Ecologie zou hier het thema moeten zijn.
Dat was het idee achter het uitgeven van deze munt.
Australië, bomen, golven raken hier wel aan, maar dekken niet de lading.
Handen, kettingen, kronen en oorbellen staan wel afgebeeld op de munt maar hebben niets
met de gedachte achter het slaan/uitgeven van deze munt te doen.
Het zijn motieven waarmee het thema op de munt tot uitdrukking wordt gebracht en waar
verzamelaars op (kunnen) zoeken.
Ik zou het aantal thema`s sterk terugbrengen en evt. motieven toevoegen.

Hands, chains, crowns and earrings are depicted on the coin but have nothing
with the idea behind minting/spending this coin.
They are motifs that express the theme on the coin and where
collectors (can) search.
I would greatly reduce the number of themes and possibly. add motifs.
YaciJe had dit bericht beter in het forum van Penningen / medailles kunnen plaatsen. Dan reageren andere verzamelaars / beheerders van Penningen misschien op jouw bericht.
Er zullen hier verschillende meningen over zijn. Bijvoorbeeld bij Postzegels wordt elk zichtbaar item op een zegel als thema beschouwd. Bij andere rubrieken wordt meestal alleen het hoofdthema benoemd.

There will be different opinions on this. For example, with Stamps, every visible item on a stamp is considered a theme. In other sections, usually only the main theme is mentioned.
