No idea if there is a (stamp) shop on LD where you can do 'batjes' today.
Black Friday Deals, or just to get the value below a threshold in an effective way :)
Better to give some items a new home a little cheaper than to remove them ...

Rene
This is a 'fish'. An idea to consider. Offer the possibility to put your shop in the spotlight temporarily, in a 'general sales period' or virtual 'braderie' (or 'night market').

For the shop that pays a lot (from Top Seller), which decides whether to participate (a check mark). LD offers the possibility (via a button) and determines what (name) and when (period). Like cities organize a 'braderie' or 'night market'. Or as in a certain country the government sets a 'sales period'.

Offers the possibility to the shops (shops on LD) to
- get rid of shop daughters (things that have been offered for years);
- to remain within the limits of the subscription (space to place part of the new offer, which always increases the appeal of a shop).

Possibly a user interface based on a (virtual) street map. Where the shops that participate are listed, and can be clicked on.

Sounds like fun. Fits fully into the plan (of which paying subscription is a part): promoting shops. The shops that make a substantial contribution to that plan.

I wanted to suggest something similar but a little simpler. Make a section on the homepage with shops on sale.
You can then temporarily put your shop on that list and offer a discount like now with black friday.
Just like newly added items
I would like to offer a 20% discount next weekend.
But please do so in a way that also attracts more viewers.

It should be something recurrent temporary. A real sales period: from-to.

Something that everyone (shop and buyer) can live up to.

Like a collector's fair. Doors open and everyone flies to that stall where there are boxes of books with stamps, with round prices per book. Or to the stall with over-year new and used catalogs (the not quite recent editions). We had to miss almost three years with Corona.
Where as a buyer you don't have to think too much or you'll have the cheese taken from your bread.
Where as a 'maternity manager' you don't know where your head is because of the crowds.

Something that makes you plop down in your easy chair like a flower bag. Tired but satisfied. A short but intense period. For both buyers and sellers.

Possible to solve with a 'fifth list' (or icon). If I'm still fantasizing, then I go to the ultimate level.
The first three (lists or icons): 'in collection', 'wanted' and 'for sale'.
The fourth (my dream): 'on order'. So that you, as a buyer, have something to hold on to when purchasing in different shops at the same time. The mnemonic in multi-shopping.
The fifth list: 'for the fair'.
With this fifth list, a shop owner (from level 'Top') can prepare a number of special things during the year, describe them and put the sales price on them.
Only in the 'sales period' for everyone to see.
A special display window with the most diverse rarities / specials.
Want to bet that there would also be extremely high activity in the LastDodo cafe? 'Say, have you been to XXXXX's stall yet? Mighty beautiful things seen there with attractive prices!'.

Raoul62 ,
You can already make a "From - Before" offer in your shop, right?
It is now displayed much more clearly than just with an icon.
And you can also filter on it as a buyer in the marketplace and in shops.
I thought you loved the simplicity :-)

A (temporary) special period (2 or 3 days), which (top) sellers can prepare. And what buyers can live up to (three more sleeps).

Easy to unlock with a suddenly appearing button 'Go to the fair'.
Then you get a street map with stalls that you can click on. And you see what the shop managers, who play along, have provided for special in the fair shop. Or seasonal shop. You can also call it 'Christmas market on LD'. Nice at home on the computer with a glass of wine or a Hasselt Coffee. Nose in the Christmas shops.

attraction - conversion

Something like that stays. With a specially designed offer, it breaks through the daily grind.

That is very different from items that may or may not appear in a shop, among the rest.
From the shop a function 'to fair shop'. For those items that you've had for a long time now, at an exceptionally low price. So that you always get space in your regular shop that you can fill with a renewed offer.
Certain items that have been stuck in the regular shop for 10 years are given a chance to make room.

In other words, it is a 2nd shop, which allows clearance, and is only opened at specially announced times.
What you can do around it as a theme or create atmosphere ... you just have to think about it.

Real physical stores do that too. Clearance during the sales, to make room for the new collection.

Starting to discount everything in a certain period ... then you have to know all your items well, and maybe pick out some that you don't want to 'solder' (yet).
And then it remains the old same shop, which you may have already gone through 10 times.
The soldenshop/braderiechop/kerstshop/... will be smaller and the number of shops less in number (clear on a kind of virtual street map), so that as an LD user you will sometimes end up in shops that you would otherwise not look at at all.
And ... a bonus for the larger sponsors (from top-seller).
An extra support (which they are not obliged to provide, of course).

Interesting idea again Raoul62 !
It could create urgency.
We're going to think about it.

Always keep thinking. Je pense donc je suis :)

It should not always be completely dry costs/benefits based on pennies.
Sometimes a benefit cannot apparently be measured in cents, but indirectly the return can be enormous.
Picture yourself at a collector's fair. One against the other collector:
- 'Have you already visited the LD Christmas Market?'
- hug?
- 'LastDodo's Christmas Market!'.
- 'oh, interesting?'
- 'Giant! but tomorrow it's already over. Put the LD Easter Fair on your agenda in your smart phone. Then you'll be on time next time.'

Accessible via a button on the site, but perhaps also directly via a url: www.lastdodo.[nl]/kerstmarkt or www.lastdodo.[nl]/paasbraderie or www.lastdodo.[nl]/zomerfestival or www.lastdodo .[nl]/autumn festival, as appropriate.

As soon as you roll over to tongues as a 'brand', then you have success.
On the street map a '?' booth (info kiosk, clickable). With an explanation about LD, and a button 'Create an account' (necessary to be able to buy).

Another glass of wine and the next bright idea is coming lol

Raoul62 Is the bottle already in the catalog? But apparently you can only indicate that you collect bottles and not that you find the content more important. ;-)

Condition = 'Used'.
The bottle does go (empty) into the bottle bank. To make new bottles. Full :)
