In my copy, the last page 272 is followed by an endpaper with a half-page still present. I can't find any explanation about it at the KB either. Small chance that anyone knows what this represents? Perhaps it still contained a humorous letter from Wim Kan?

I have since received a referral from Leike-w to Abe books, where it is confirmed that the book comes with a loose dust jacket (thanks for that!), I have adapted the catalog for that. Then there's that strange last page...

The question no longer applies, I had received the book today, I leafed through it and after a second time leafing through I only now find out that the half page in question has been "folded" incorrectly. After the story about the time during the Japanese occupation and the reunion of Wim Kan with his wife Corry Vonk, the book ends with letters that the two were allowed to send to each other during their internments. As a joke in a private folder closed with an Ex libris seal, which you as a curious reader had to "break" anyway.
