Maybe not the right place, but I'll try anyway. I found two Tintin comic books in my bookcase. I have now found out that they are very old and in perfect condition. Always kept in paper and packed airtight. It concerns Tintin in Tibet (1960) hard cover.
And Tintin Coke in stock (1958) hard cover. I hope someone can tell me more about this.

Hi Brenda,
A merchant is by definition a bad idea unless you want to know the absolute minimum price you can get for your comic books.
Judging from the years, they are first editions, but I dare not say that with certainty.
However, placing your comic books on Marktplaats.nl is a good idea to get an indication of the current market value.
Include as detailed a description as possible plus a few good photos (including the back cover).

You can expect this reaction
from pemanah
they are anti trader
they just hate it
you just imagine that a trader earns something
not all traders are bad people - trade is a trade

This response is completely objective.
If you have a large batch of comic books and do not have the time / desire to sell them individually or per series, then a dealer / buyer may be an option.
In this case, however, we are dealing with two books that probably represent reasonable value anyway.
It doesn't have to take much time / effort to find out the current market price and sell the books to an interested private individual.
If you sell them to a trader / buyer, you are seriously depriving yourself because you will only get a fraction of the true value.

Hello Brenda,
A good retailer gives about 40% of the value for a book. On a site such as a marketplace - provided there are enough bidders - the price can go further.
First try to find out the value of your books. (Ask a comic book dealer, or maybe a few) Decide what you want and possibly start a shop on Catawiki.

40% is due to the series
but that's a really old-fashioned
percentage
it used to be if so
don't think you can say 40% by default
some series is 10% too much
others you have to give 50%

Dear all,
I have since been to a comic book store with the two comic books (Tintin in Tibet and Coke in stock).
Turns out that even the original packaging is still on it. Value was estimated at approximately € 500 each. This is because one is completely new and the other almost (only a dent and a damaged corner). The colors of the front, for example, are still completely new. So today only an adv. put on marketplace.
I am very curious!

Thank you Jilles.
I have to say that a very high amount has already been bids on coke in stock. Higher than I ever dreamed. Since I am not from the rich branch, I am very happy with that. The paper around the two books seems to be quite special .. :-)
We'll see how it goes.

They are indeed almost new and that blotting paper is very rare yes. These seem to me to be worth at least 500 euros. I wouldn't sell them below that price if I were you. You can also put them in your Catawiki shop, of course.
These are the books in the catalog: Tibet and Cokes
I have already entered 500 as new condition price. Let us know if you get more for it and we'll adjust it.
Could you perhaps add those photos with tissue paper as a 3rd photo to these 2 items (with “Add image” in the right column)?

As an Antiquarian I dare to say to Brenda that a book with a dent!
absolutely not worth new condition!
the blotting papers are rare and I talked to you about that on the phone too.
I see you haven't sold them yet & gt ;?
I would put Tibet on 600 and Coke on 5, or add a new condition coke and just sell it for half.
in new condition Coke and Tibet do between 450 and 600 euros depends on how real they are white or black.
It's just well-intentioned advice.
750 euros is really too high!
I could buy sets 2 years ago because they were in that paper with 2 albums at the same time for 1200 euros, for me as a dealer that was too expensive.
