ik ben nieuw hier, kwam er toevallig terecht omdat ik bezig ben mijn boekenverzameling uit te dunnen (lukt niet echt overigens).
Ik heb een serie van Sesam Wereldgeschiedenis staan, waarbij ik het eerste deel twee keer heb: een normale en een misdruk. Alleen de eerste twintig bladzijden zijn bedrukt en de rest van het boek is leeg. Is dit nog iets waard of kan ik er iemand blij mee maken?

I am new here, came by coincidence because I am busy thinning my book collection (not really possible, by the way).
I have a series of Sesame World History, where I have the first part twice: a normal and a misprint. Only the first twenty pages are printed and the rest of the book is blank. Is this still worth anything or can I make someone happy with it?

Zoals het beschreven is lijkt het me geen misdruk, maar een “dummy”, een “grotendeels onbedrukt boek, als demonstratiemodel” (Van Dale). Bij dit soort voorbeeldexemplaren (gebruikt voor intekening en promotie voordat de hele oplage gedrukt wordt) is soms het hele binnenwerk blanco en soms is (zoals hier) een klein deel van de inhoud opgenomen.
Er zijn verzamelaars van dummy’s, maar ik denk dat je ze op 1 hand kunt tellen en dat er geen grote bedragen mee gemoeid zijn.
As described, it does not seem like a misprint to me, but a “dummy”, a “largely unprinted book, as a demonstration model” (Van Dale). With this kind of sample copies (used for subscription and promotion before the entire print run is printed) sometimes the entire interior is blank and sometimes (as here) a small part of the content is included.
There are collectors of dummies, but I think you can count them on one hand and there are no large amounts involved.
