Good morning,

I'm searching on Google and I can find the stamps, but no matter where I search I can't find them at Lastdodo.

If you had just searched for Zone Francaise, you would have found them too.
Only we are here on the Dutch side of LastDodo, here is of course French zone.
On the French side of LastDodo they are of course listed as Zone Francaise.
If you have something like that try it out, you can just switch between the languages.
Greetings John.

Gladiator112 Try this one (also on NL) : if you have absolutely no idea what you are looking for, go to the home of the catalog and search for "zone francaise", which gives 237 items, many of which are superfluous. Every possible way to search less helps of course (only stamps, limitation on year, ...).

Lyonesse user-1713548  ok. What am I doing wrong then. I'm currently working on a collection with Spain. I search under the number 5, Spain and provincial arms. I find all stamps from that collection and they are also listed, but the stamp from Orense is not among them. 2nd photo

That's a typical problem with 'spaces' before or after the value.

There are several groups where value 50 comes in.
A large group, where the face value is correct.
A smaller group that 'apparently' is also '50', but is actually '50' (with a space after it).
Originally a user not familiar with the manual added the stamps with the value, space, and a currency statement. An administrator has removed that currency entry so that it looks good, but removed one space too little. As a result, it is also not good.
A third group is called '50 pesatas'. Also there a contribution by someone who has not read or understood the manual. Maybe it's worse (go check out that item...).

I've already made the call to everyone a few times: with the "face value" search function you can contribute to the improvement in the catalogue. Even if you are not an administrator.
If you see value groups doubled, then there is one group with items where there are too many blanks (spaces). Please, improve it. Whoever comes after you will (unconsciously) be grateful. I've already removed hundreds of blanks...

Your wanted stamp is in group 2 (the one with Face value '50').

Raoul has already given part of the problem: '5' is not '5', so this filter is worthless.
Second possible issue: Default the screen is sorted by issue, but I notice that these provincial coats of arms are all small issues, so it seems they are not sorted.
Third possible issue: The 'Search in selection' in the middle of the page does not work in the same way as the 'search the catalog' in the black bar at the top.
So just the simple way: 'orense' at the top of the homepage and there are 9 results.
Tip: better first too many results and then filter, then search for too few results.

I don't know if you've found it yet, just search the entire Catalog on Orense, and it's there.

Raoul62 Are there no people here at Lastdodo who control certain countries? I think if I were to manage 1 country I would get these kinds of mistakes out of it. Now when I add a stamp and I see there is a space before or after it. Then I remove the space and set it to the correct value. Whatever you say if everyone does this when they see this error makes it a lot easier for everyone :)

If the active stamp collectors would fix these kinds of errors, this would be much faster than having to check all 850 Countries / Territories separately instead of a number of administrators.

LastDodo is a wiki, it should It would be nice if everyone helps a bit with improving the catalog.
If you first choose Use type = Franking on the left, then you already have over 555,000 items to check for Nominal value.

If it becomes 1, it can mean national or international. I don't think that's the intention.

International 1 = €1.55 and (national) 1 = €0.96.
Sorry, but as an administrator you really should know this Helv

Does an administrator want to change the value 1 International to International 1 ?
Thank you in advance.

An administrator cannot change that. As explained before, Face value is not a manageable field. It has been a freely fillable field from the start.
That is why we request that everyone lend a hand with this.

Aha, I had missed that. There are quite a few, but too few for a script I suspect.

Could you perhaps consider writing a script to remove all loose spaces at the beginning and at the end? (This can also be applied to title fields in all rubrics.)

Morits I am not an administrator of the Netherlands and I do not actively collect modern stamps. "My" stamps were still neatly printed when the ruble decreased in value by a factor of 100,000 (I admit, there is an exception).

The examples in the stamp handbook have either a number or a word. If "International 1" is such a term, it would be useful to include it in the next version.

The examples in the stamp handbook have either a number or a word. If "Internationaal 1" is such a term, it would be useful to include it in the next version.
This statement is simply not true.
Read the instructions correctly:
“3. Nominal value
Copy the value exactly as it appears on the stamp, without the mint mark.
…If a number or word is on the stamp for tariff group, e.g. 1, 2, Europe, First Class, P (for Canada), Forever (for USA), you fill that in.”

The last sentence applies of course to “Internationaal 1” and you fill that in.
