Why is this not yet a selectable genre ?

Likewise, I find it curious that Italo-disco is listed and "just" Disco is not.

Rock and roll or rock & amp; roll but this should definitely be selectable, just like Disco.

so add it quickly I think

Expanding the genres is on the to-do list.
Long live Rock 'n' Roll!

Maybe you should talk about the definition of rock 'n' roll. Because didn't that stop around '60?
Rockabilly would not belong there in my opinion, because that is a music movement derived from country & amp; R & amp; B.

Speaking of R & amp; B, what genre does this mean? The original Rhythm & amp; Blues or the modern R & amp; B?

I think Rockabilly is very good at Rock 'n' roll, just like Doowop, Twist and Highschool. You have to draw a line somewhere. "Afficionados" distinguished I believe more than ten kinds of Metal; Heavy, Death, Speed, Trash, Black, Viking and so on. House of the same sheet a suit. Are we going to record Trance, Techno, Jungle, Electro, Rave, Minimal and you name them really all ?? That is no action. You have to catch main currents.

R & amp; B is, I'm afraid, Arrenbie, aka modern.

When we talk about adding, maybe something can be lost. Nederpop, for example, is poorly delineated and, in the context of the internationalization of Catawiki, is not sustainable in the long term. Unless we are also going to add things like Krautrock and Neue Deutsche Welle of course

Rock and Roll didn't stop around 1960. The Beatles and The Stones have made quite a few R & amp; R songs. And also in the decades since, there have been bands that have started or continued to play R & amp; R.
For me, the big difference between R & amp; R and rockabilly is that the latter genre is a white genre. At least in origin. Bill Haley, Buddy Holly and the early Elvis were rockabilly performers and Little Richard, Chuck Berry and Fats Domino were the Rock and rollers.
As for R & amp; B, the youth has taken that name and many of those young guys have no doubt never heard of Muddy Waters or Howlin 'Wolf. Yet real old-fashioned Chicago blues records are still being released. A few weeks ago I even enjoyed a beautiful R & amp; B concert by John Primer.
You could make a difference by the spelling. Modern R & amp; B is regularly written as Arrenbie. So why not include both in the list?
I have already proposed to take over the system from Allmusic; and I actually mean the way they have arranged it. You mention a few main directions, because they are quite sufficient for many users and for the specialists among us you use subgenres. So you choose a main genre and a new dropdown box opens with the relevant subgenres.
In that context, I wouldn't want to do away with Nederpop and would indeed choose to add Krautrock and NDW .
