If someone, appraiser or antiquarian preferably, Catawiki number: 971829 would the person want to email the contributor? She would like a value judgment or appraisal of the relevant items. Thanks in advance.

Looks very good, no discoloration, as far as seen in the picture.
Very well preserved or a replica. I am not a connoisseur, but amusing to watch it.
Hopefully there will be clearer pictures.

That's a good idea André, I'll just email Cindy if she wants to scan the cover.

I see that the title is La Belgique . I think this set is known as La Belgique Illustrée .
The author is Christophe, not Emile Bruylant (see also fig 3) and the illustrations seem, at least in part, by Franz More to be.
They are for sale left and right, so a little juggling is always a good idea to get a first impression of the market value.
See for example:

or here:
http://www.antiqbook.com/ books / bookinfo.phtml? n…
In anticipation of further developments, I must have been free to change the country of issue from Brussels to Belgium. ;-)

Thank you very much for your effort Pegag,
I think the contributor (Cindy) will respond too.

[publisher: Bruylant-Christophe et Cie. ƒditeurs undated, c 1890, Bruxelles] First Edition Folio, three volumes, 612, 544, 520pp., with over a thousand b / w illustrations, and 18 full-page chromolithographs by Franz Meerts and Edwin Ganz, showing various occupations and costumes of the country — a fisherman of Blankenberghe, a miner, a broom seller in Namur, a soldier in the infantry, a seller of vegetables, the egg merchant, and others. Occasional slight foxing, but overall very good in half brown pebbled morocco and green cloth with light wear to corners, gilt-stamped compartmented spines lightly faded to a pleasant lighter brown. A gorgeous set. The chromos are very good, but even better, I feel, are the hundreds of b / w engravings, that capture specific bits of scenery and architecture. Text in French. EUR 650
I would appreciate one part on EUR 150 new condition.

Isn't that a bit undervalued? As you can see, the offer at an antique dealer is also not in new condition and still € 650, assume that it is in new condition at least € 1000 for 3 parts and you will come to at least € 300 per part in new condition.
