Last year Vertigo, Dick52 and I placed all Philips and Fontana singles in series based on the release number. This gives a lot of information. I am thinking of the year and country of pressing, error detection, etc. Searching on Philips single or Fontana single shows the largest series. If you choose more, you will get all series, sorted by "size" (amount of singles).

Now I have started placing Decca singles in series. The third major sub-label of Phonogram (Philips, Fontana, Mercury and Decca).

One of the oldest series is the FM 264 series and it is already ready. This contains all singles from 1957 to early 1963. They are recordings of Dutch artists in predominantly factory covers. (About 30 have appeared in a photo sleeve.)

Thank you Jan :-)

I go through all singles sorted by year and immediately fill in missing information. Phonogram had an excellent system. Each country had more or less its own series.

The available information usually only runs until 1970, when they switched to a 7-digit system.

It is also interesting to read see how the single emerged, reached its peak and then fell out of favor with the rise of the LP and later the CD.
