I'm fed up after trying to perform a John Wayne box. I lose track completely. You have to enter way too much data. Why not keep everything very simple and refer to IMDb for all the freak information. You cannot compete with that and it is almost complete. Especially when it comes to the content of the film itself. You could only include the differences in the types of performances.

Lol, also put all the actors in it? All those subtitles?
I did not enter everything in that regard either. But hey, it's kind of funny to enter 15 subtitles every now and then and about 15 actors.
Well, if you're bored, you can still have it. : P

You don't have to do anything, Morits, because hardly any field is required. We think it is very nice for identification if the EAN and the language (s) are entered on the inlay, otherwise you run the risk that another user will make a wrong item. so your collection is no longer correct.

I see more in the “Freak info” than in the technical nonsense. It should be nice when I can find everything about a certain French actress through Catawiki.
And so all fillers are different. I have no problem adding Freak info if you put the Tech info away.

Well, Jilles, being able to find everything about an actress or actor (you can also do that at IMDb;)).
I don't mind adding items, but I do mind if a title is no longer THE title. Apparently there is an agreement on this that it should be this way and I just accept it.
That's why I no longer maintain my collection of DVD s here except for Disney.
You can also fill in all the details AFTER adding the items, maybe there are people WILLING to help with that.
See VAT now many items are 3/4 empty and collectors of that item. They don't fill in the missing info or just want that one item in their collection and they don't care about the rest. (See this in many sections)
But if there are people like Jilles, who want to complement DO , they'll be fine.
Why is "Around the world in 80 days" under Series / Hero "Around the world in eighty days"? Bit vague this.
James Bond, I can imagine, Danny Ocean as well, I did Hannibal Lecter myself.
Motirs, just add and fill in only the most important ones such as languages (cover, spoken and subtitles), title, years and publisher and whatever else you can find on the cover itself.
The rest can be done later or the "freaks" will hopefully fill it in for you and the rest.

Question: Why is "Around the world in 80 days" under Series / Hero "Around the world in eighty days"? Bit vague this.
This has now been solved, if you search for one of them you will see one of them as an alias. Not all at once, but over time everything with 2 known titles
This is also the case for now still empty fields, as the rubric grows, the fields become fuller. Many hands ..

make light work…
The future will tell where it is going. The database is growing and hopefully it will continue to be managed.
Fortunately, with Around the .. it has been solved.
Well, I'm going to close. From Monday I will only look again and hopefully see a miracle.

Respond a little late, but I will also add some film data, I am a film freak and I think it is important when I search for a particular actor or actress and all films come in a list, the same as with a screenwriter or draftsman of a comic right?

Ty for the support Jilles. I added a few yesterday, but was already one or three this morning when I was still busy, so I stopped for a while, continue today.

Enja AvdP I also know search everything on IMDB but I also know that on a special coin site, stamp site, comic site etc etc etc so we can all stop entering , because there is a site for almost everything. Catawiki should become the site where everything from all those sites comes together, so that as a collector you only need 1 site in the long run. Anyway that's my opinion, don't look at others. I will just continue to enter as much data as possible.

Totally agree with VISION. Nowadays you can look up everything on the internet or with a certain program. But your entire collection merged from different collection areas is of course unbeatable (or you have to create your own DB, but then you really have to enter all your items yourself and that is precisely the beauty of CataWiki that you do not have to , if complete)
