The field “serial number” is not linked to the series.
Suppose a film is number x of series a and number y of series b.
I enter series / series a and sequence number x. Then I add sequence b, but I don't have the option to enter sequence number y.

This is indeed the case with the Comic Strip collection area.
Suppose a James Bond film is part of the Great English Heroes series and is part 45 in that series, then the number field will show 45.
The fact that it concerns James Bond film 12 does indeed disappear, because there is no extra field available for it.
The Number field is for the sequence number within the series / hero, unless there is an umbrella sequence, then it is for that sequence.

Good point. Tomorrow we will start working on the DVD section. I also immediately take a look at the sorting.

It is now indicated in brackets in brackets which carrier it concerns and which serial number it has.
If you look by series, we now sort by default by serial number and then by year.
If you look through another entrance (eg Actor) then it will be sorted by Release year of the carrier.

Great, thank you, only I see that it is not sorted numerically (bug?) Namely 1, 10..19, 2, 20..29, 3, 30..39, etc ..

Good point. That's because it is now an alphanumeric field because sometimes, for example, 1-3 was filled in for a box with the first 3 parts of Star Wars.
But it must therefore be numeric with a number addition field next to it. Or we have to think of another way to make it clear in 1 numeric serial number field that it concerns parts 1 to 3.

How often does it happen that a series goes over the 9 parts?
Those are the exceptions, right?
Can't you do better with those exceptions, a zero for the numbers 1 up to 9 moves? (so 01 02 03 etc)
You can also put them in the correct order via the “Sort field manager”.
Then you can keep the fields alphanumeric yourself.
